Employed with Nordic Sugar, Denmark with reference to the global Nordzucker Group

The Digitalisation & Technology Service Department (DTS) is located in Nakskov. DTS and plays and important role as a staff function in the Nrodzucker Group with offices in Braunschweig in Germany and Nakskov in Denmark. Nordzucker produces sugar in 13 factories in 7 countries in Europe and 3 factories in Australia. In Denmark, we have sugar factories in Nykøbing F. And Nakskov and head office in Copenhagen.


An important role

Together with your colleagues, you will drive the continued development of advanced production automation based on data processing and data exchange between many systems at Nordzucker's factories.

Part of the job is also to create documentation for our software solutions including the use of various hardware and instruments. 

Your starting point will be our department in Nakskov. It is possible to work from home 1-2 days a week to the extent that it makes sense. Furthermore, you will participate in projects in other countries, which typically involves 20-30 travelling days per year.

In the job, you will have the opportunity to develop in several directions. This could be in project management or specialization. There may also be a long-term opportunity to work in other countries for longer periods of time.

 

Areas of responsibility

  • Designing a new and modern system landscape that is part of Nordzucker AG's digitalization strategy
  • Development of a new support and documentation strategy in order to efficiently operate the large number of systems used in the operational business
  • System and interface development to increase automation and data availability
  • Development, implementation and support of new technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, machine learning as well as the implementation and management of cloud-based solutions (SAAS) in order to provide the Nordzucker plants in seven countries with the latest technologies and standards
  • Communication and collaboration with various stakeholders within the company
  • Participation and collaboration in project teams

The ideal candidate

  • Has a successfully completed degree in IT, automation technology or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience
  • Has experience in project management
  • Is characterized by a motivated, structured, organized and results-oriented way of working
  • Is open-minded and independent in thinking and generating ideas
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - additional language skills (German, Danish, Polish and Swedish) are an advantage
