Student assistant to Finance at Nordic Sugar

The finance department of Nordic Sugar is responsible for finance related to the operating entities in both Denmark (Nordic Sugar A/S) and Sweden (Nordic Sugar AB). Nordic Sugar A/S has its administrative office in Copenhagen and sugar factories in Nykøbing and Nakskov while Nordic Sugar AB has its administrative office in Arlöv and factories in Örtofta and Arlöv.

 

As our new student assistant in Finance, you will have a range of diverse task within Finance. We offer a friendly workplace based out of our office in Ørestad, Copenhagen near public transportation. We understand the importance of the balance between job and your studies and are flexible around your working days. 

 

Work tasks
Not all days will be the same and as you gain a broader knowledge of the matters, your tasks will expand. Your tasks will among others include:
•    Participation in month-end and year-end reporting
•    Monitoring of SG&A costs to ensure consistency with budget and forecast
•    Participation in budget and forecast reporting
•    Maintenance of Excel Sheets
•    Quality check of postings and follow-up on discrepancies in order to fine-tune our processes (e.g., price variances and incorrect postings)
•    Ad hoc Tasks and projects

 

Who are you?
•    Ideally, you are at the end of your bachelor or beginning of the master’s degree within accounting and finance
•    Structured and well organized with an eye for quality, details and deadlines
•    Good experience with IT, including MS Office and especially Excel. We use SAP S/4 HANA and SAP BW, but it is not a requirement that you have prior experience with SAP
•    Fluent in English (orally and in writing)
•    Preferable able to work 10-15 hours a week
