Audit Management (maternity cover)

The position
The position is a full time position within the quality department Corporate Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs and is located at our office in Copenhagen (city). The position is a maternity cover until February 2021. You will join our team of two talented and committed colleagues of both Danish and German nationalities and you will report directly to Head of Corporate Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.


The department handles all issues regarding audit management for internal and supplier audits, product quality & safety, regulatory affairs for food and feed and in cooperation with relevant departments, the compliance of requirements in the supply chain for the Nordzucker Group, internally covering Denmark, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden – reporting to Corporate Head of SHEQ.


You have to perform a number of diverse tasks in the field of corporate SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality).


Your primary tasks will be to take responsibility of the planned multi-site certification and audit management, as well as maintaining the existing certification scheme (on the basis of e.g. ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, FSSC 22000, IFS, Q&S, GMP B2, ISO 14001, ISO 50001), including SMETA audits  and kosher and halal certificates. Your role in these areas will be that of the communicator (written and verbally), facilitator and implementer both internally and externally. Assigned country colleagues for audit management in the countries are subordinated to you. It is expected that you also perform internal and supplier audits.

You will need to contribute proactively to the development of the function and serve in an advisory role within the Nordzucker Group. It is expected that you have an interest in and desire to get involved in relevant networks and forums internally.

Primary tasks and areas of work:
Prepare organisation for multi-site certification

  • Coordinate the planning of the annual certification audits on group level
  • Follow-up and coordinate ISO 9001,  Fairtrade, RSPO, kosher and halal requirements
  • Develop and update Audit Management, including  the internal and supplier audit programs, follow-up deviations and learnings
  • Supporting the process of approval of suppliers and processing aids and ingredients
  • responsible for food authority controls in Copenhagen
  • supporting budgeting process including Purchase Orders and invoices
  • Execute internal, as well as supplier audits internationally (mostly within Europe)
  • Support the implementation of the new versions of ISO 22000, FSSC and IFS.



We expect that you have an education as an auditor. You are an independent and skilled person with min. 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably from a major food manufacturing company in a European or international setup.


You have a relevant academic degree, preferably within Food Science, Chemistry, Technology or another relevant field of science.

It is expected that you master the English language at a high level both written and spoken, and that you can function in an international environment with many cultures where communication takes place primarily in English. It will be an advantage if you have a good knowledge of German.


You create success in the job through a service-oriented approach to tasks, and you like to act team-oriented and open. Additionally you are able to work cross-functional (as to operational level as well as academic level) and are open minded also for cultural differences.

You will be expected to travel +20 days per year, mostly within Europe, but also occasionally in countries outside Europe.
